Ti Celeste / La Guadeloupe Moin River Mi Moin

Aurélien Celeste, better known as Ti Celeste (1945 — 2014) was a singer, composer and producer of a traditional music of Guadeloupe (French West Indies) called Gwo ka.

He was born in 1945 at Lamentin, Guadeloupe from a family of musicians. In 1968, he was spotted by music production “Dulidisc” that offered him the opportunity to record his first solo album entitled “Vers la Montagne”. This will be the beginning of a long and extraordinary musical career illustrated by an impressive discography of 22 albums and more than 250 songs. Ti Celeste always met with great success during his countless tours including France, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, and the Caribbean countries. His latest award was in 2013, during the presentation of a “Elwa d’or”. He died in 2014 at the age of 69.
