Eng Nary & Pan Ron / Jomreang noe nung pich

Pusblished as Srey No (Lady Name No) by unknown artist, Jomreang noe nung pich by Eng Nary & Pan Ron is taken from "Cambodian Cassette Archives: Khmer Folk & Pop Music Vol. 1" (Sublime Frequencies) compilation. Collection has been pieced together from over 150 ravaged cassettes found in Oakland, California at the public library's Asian branch. By the time CD was released (2004) artists names for most of the tracks from the compilation were unknown to the label. Anyway, I found other YouTube video suggesting that artists are famous Cambodian singers Eng Nary & Pan Ron and the original name of the track is "Jomreang noe nung pich". Jomreang noe nung pich was the soundtrack of a 1972 Khmer film directed by Biv Chai Leang "Teav Aek". Digging deeper, it sounds like it is modernized version of classic Khmer music.
